Negotiating your Value

I want to share a powerful and transformative experience and outcome I had for one of my clients recently.

Anna showed up to the session anxious and overwhelmed. She had recently been informed her current job would be going away by the end of the year, and she was trying to figure out what to do next. She was looking around inside her company, and searching for new roles at other companies. In the middle of a pandemic, there weren’t many open jobs out there.

Today she had made it down to being one of two candidates for a great opportunity in a new company. So what was the stress about?

The first step was to get her clear about what she wanted from this company. She needed to be ready to negotiate the terms of any offer on the table. She had to be a strong advocate for herself.

Next we cleared limiting beliefs around worthiness, self-sabotage and fear of losing control. During the session, I gave her a custom phrase to support her as she went in:
'I can feel confident and trust that I am enough as I know my worth and can be myself'.

After clearing those old beliefs, she left feeling calm, clear and confident.

The next day Anna called me to tell me the good news - not only did she get the job, she negotiated her salary with a 30% raise!

Can you look at how your own beliefs about yourself have prevented you from asking what you are worth?
